The issue of parking can have people either for or against it. Many times it is the students who are against it and it usually stems from how they cannot show up five minutes before class and still get a front row spot. The first stance of opposition on this case would be that the students who take the time to get up and out the door a little bit early are the ones who take the initiative to get those good spots. Is it fair that the ones who put in a little extra effort should get the same mediocre spots as the slacker who wakes up right before class and must race to make it on time? No. also the staff is not going to give up the close areas or even the maintenance workers for the argument that they have to teach and fix things around campus and without close spots for them how would the school function? If faculty must be walking large distances to get to their class rooms more students would leave since the teacher would be late and then whats the point of paying the money to attend classes in the first place?

  1. I agree that it is not fair for the slacker in this scenario to get the good spots but sometimes that is not the case. Sometimes stuff comes up and you can't help but be behind. The same is true to the faculty. School could not function without them, but professors could not fuction without students.

  2. At first I thought that if we have to walk to far then why shouldnt the teachers?... but you are totally right! If the teacher is late to class then most students leave and yeah... you said it perfectly.
